This time of year is full of the hustle and bustle of the Holiday season, which makes finding time to read really, really difficult. So, I thought I'd post an all-time favorite of mine, which is also very short and easy to read. One you could probably fully accomplish in one day if needed...Or maybe on the way to Grandmother's house!!!
This book truly spoke to me and resonated within me long after the final page was read. It's about life and death and the choices we make in the present. And what better time than right now to reflect back on the year and a lifetime of choices. It's a heartwarming read about a mother and son's relationship and the dynamics within that cause us to turn away from one of the truest loves we'll ever experience in this life.
As a daughter (and a child of divorce) and mother of a son, this book was one I could feel fully from both character's perspective and it was one which made me want to be a better daughter and mother. I wouldn't categorize this book as uplifting, but it does make you stop and think about the choices we make because we believe our parents will always be here. But what happens when one day they aren't?
Ok, no more waiting....Here it is!
